Hi, I’m Justin.
I’m glad you’re here.
I’m an actor, director, and teaching artist based in Cincinnati. I moved to Ohio to join the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company in 2006, but I’ve tread the boards at all the other Equity theatres in the region as well. I’m proud that every theater where I’ve performed has invited me back for another project.
While most of my work has come from performing onstage, I’ve also served as Company Manager at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company as well as an AEA Stage Manager, Production Manager, touring actor, teaching artist, and long-term substitute high school Theatre and Acting teacher. In 2018, I co-created a program titled “Shakespeare for Veterans” at the Ft. Thomas, Kentucky VA Health Center. In 2023, I developed a mythology-based interactive game show for kids called “Mr. Myth and the Breakfast of Champions.”
My artistic satisfaction comes from telling stories that remind the audience and the artists of our shared humanity and by doing everything I can to provide access to creative freedom for all. My artistic intention is to embrace a sense of play in all I do.
When I’m not at the theater, I love playing catch, playing board games, playing in my garden, playing in my kayak on the river, and playing with cats Leslie Knope, Ann Perkins, and Mabel. I’m happily married to and constantly proud of my lovely wife Maggie Lou Rader.
Thanks for visiting. Let’s play!
